There's a new record gold price in town over $900 an ounce. Forward month US gold prices rose hit a record high of over $900 an ounce boosted by robust interest by investment funds and chart-based support.
At last look gold topped off at $900.10 an ounce, up $3.30 for the day.
Gaining nearly 32% in 2007, gold has had a meteoric rise the past 12 months boosted by a falling dollar, rising prices for oil and other commodities and increased Middle East instability. These trends have lifted the metal's appeal as a haven and we can expect further increases in the price of gold in the future.
Until next time,
